Fresh Cut Peat Logs in Ireland

Hand cut turf, or peat, logs in Ireland. After cutting, the logs are laid on the ground to dry for about a week. Then, they are stacked upright for my drying. A third drying process increases the stack and, when the turf is fully dry, it can be taken home. The drying process can last throughout the summer.
